Hi There

Turns out I'm not so good at this "keeping up the blog" business. Which is odd since I'm constantly online. I think now that I'll be home more I'll be better at it. Oh so catching up...

We bought a house and moved in December (long, painful process) ...
Bean & Josh came down and stayed with us for the holidays.
I am currently 36.5 weeks pregnant, so baby Evan should be arriving within a month!
I got laid off from my job. :( Friday is my last day, hence why I'll be home more.
Jake is almost done with his A+ Certification and also started a new job.
He'll still be working weekends at Graywhale.
Since its so close to when baby will get here, we've decided its not worth me trying to find another job when I'll just have to take time off for maternity leave. So we'll just have to make it work for the time being on Jake's salary.
Gosh it really makes me feel like an adult: house, baby, jobs...
Well now that you're caught up...

I'm not ready for this baby to come yet. Not like ready meaning prepared, though that also applies since his room is still not finished, nor his crib put together.
But I mean everyone says 3rd Trimester is the worst and longest and you just want it to be over and done. Not me. I'm absolutely fine staying pregnant. I don't feel extremely huge, I feel like I am just sized right for 8 months. While there are "annoyances" I can say this pregnancy has been easy peasy. First trimester, very minimal morning sickness, I think I only "got sick" 3 times and avoided hamburgers like the plague. Second Trimester, appetite returned (probably why I ended up gaining most my weight here) only complaint was I pulled my groin muscle... not pleasant. And so far the worst third is bringing is some AWFUL heartburn, (he better have tons of hair) and some slight swelling of my fingers and cankles. Oh and the appearance of stretch marks on the belly, which I think can't be avoided really. Thought I did try my hardest by using those special lotions. But overall I have enjoyed this pregnancy and feel like I could continue being pregnant another month without complaint... but I guess we'll see how I feel once I hit the 40 week mark. Just cross fingers he comes on time since my insurance ends with my severance. I am now going to see the doctor weekly. My last appointment I was 25% effaced and his head was very low, which she said will help stretch the cervix. So we're definitely at a start, we'll see what the next few weeks bring. :)
