Summer... FINALLY!

Oh summer, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways:

1. Heat. Blessed heat, please sink into my bones.
2. SUNSHINE that which giveth the heat.
3. Longer days. Being outside 9 pm and the sun's barely setting.
4. BBQs. What's not to love about food?
5. Swimming, cools you off plus is great low impact excercise!
6. Camping, can involve all afore mentioned plus THE GREAT OUTDOORS
7. My birthday... just cause my being born is cool.

Speaking of which, Jake knows what he's getting me for my upcoming 2-5. Yet he didn't ask me what I wanted and I sure didn't tell him anything, so I have no clue what it could be? Of course he did this same thing last year also and ended up getting me all the Harry Potter movies, so maybe I shouldn't worry too much.

Anyway I traded shifts so that I can go to a concert (one of my favs, Mates of States) on Monday night then Tuesday night is the Eclipse midnight showing!! Going with Crystal and Taylor again and Tori is also coming this year. It will be lots of fun and we're all excited about it. I don't feel like a dork about it either cause there is probably about THREE MILLION or more people who are crazier Twilight fans than I so... yeah! Good thing I don't work til 11:30 on Wednesday so I can sleep in. Well actually I sleep in everyday anyway. I guess I should say good thing I'm used to staying up late.

Also next weekend is **4th of July** weekend so I'm excited but kinda bummed because my work wouldn't let me off early on July 3rd which is when our family bbq is. Hopefully its slower than expected and they end up letting me leave. Did I mention I love BBQs? Seriously some of my favorite foods. Hot dogs, chezburgs, anything grilled really but not ribs, deviled eggs, varieties of salads (pasta, potato, fruit, jell-o, mixed green) I'll take them all, thx, oh and a Popsicle.

Is this thing on? Hmm not too sure about blogging but it seems to be the new to-do. So let's give 'er a go, shall we? My birth given name is Crystal but starting in high school many of my friends started calling me Chuck. This mainly was due to the fact that we already had a Crystal in the group and this avoided confusion and we didn't have to be referred to as "good Crystal" (Yes that was me) and "bad Crystal". I don't really think of myself as much of a talker since I'm pretty introverted but I guess this is a little different. You just get to go off and no one can really interrupt you or talk over you. I haven't got the whole cool template thing down yet. Also the reason why this isn't a "Crystal & Jake" blog is because its always the wife writing anyway right? And pretty sure Jake will never look at this. But I'll try and keep updated on him, too. Anyway nothing much to report today. Signing off.
