Well I wanted to post before July and I'm cutting it a little close but its still June! Jake is working from home 3 days a week now, its so nice because two of those days are my days off so I actually get to see my husband a lot! :D
Okay. I don't really have much going on. I did watch the entire first season of Legend of Korra. (Thinking maybe Halloween costume?) and I am up to Season 6 in Doctor Who - the new ones, not the ones from the 60s/70s. Evan loves the theme song. If he is in the other room when it starts playing he comes running and just points. Its cute. Hmmm...Considering we don't have any TV service, I end up watching a lot of shows. I also started reading the Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson.
Well since the boys moved out of the basement its just the three of us here in this 5 bed 2 bath house. Its been nice in some ways but seems kinda a waste. I hope we can find someone to move in downstairs, it stretches our budget real thin having no rent income.
At Evan's 15 month doctor appointment he weighed 21 lbs 6 oz. and was 32 inches long. So he is still long and lean. I'm supposed to be giving him more whole milk and cheese and yogurt and fatty things so he gains a bit of weight. The milk I can handle but Evan doesn't much care for cheese. He won't do string cheese or cottage cheese. I even tried just melting cheese on some crackers, nope, he just picked off all the melted cheese and ate the crackers. Oh well, isn't like he is emaciated or anything. Just a little underweight for his height. I think he looks fine.
Putting the Pringle can on his arm.
Evan being his silly climbing self to get in the cupboard.
I don't know how, but all on his own, he figured out how to pull the drawer out and climb up so he can reach the light switch/counter items.
His uber cute curl on the back of his head.
For Season's birthday (30!) I gave her a 'ticket' to the Arts festival. She usually goes every year so I thought I would just go with her and we could take the kids and everything. So we went on Saturday, June 23rd. It was a really hot day and Evan was acting pretty miserable almost the whole day. For the first time in public, I was the mom with "that kid" the screaming, tantrum-throwing, disruptive child. So basically I just gave him cookies, let him run around wherever and play in the sandbox, which is pretty much all he wanted to do.
We took Trax because I hate parking downtown. Evan loved looking out the window. There was a slightly awkward moment the old guy sitting next to me fell asleep and was really laying into me, but he was cute and apologetic upon waking so I forgave him.
Really neat sand sculpture that was at the entrance.
Some cool Stilt walkers there.
Evan LOVED the sandbox. I may have to get him one.
Aurelia doing her best Katniss impression.
Evan wasn't having the face painting. So we did it on his hand, which he promptly smudged...
Ev's cheesy grin on the ride home.
Well I'm trying to put together and edit a video of Evan doing all his signs so hopefully I will post that later today or tomorrow. Also, Baby Sawyer is supposed to be here any day now, so we'll keep you updated on that. :) Until next time...
